Traditional Music

One of the serious things that we want to accomplish with this web site is to hopefully generate some awareness of Captain Francis O'Neill and the contribution he made to help save Irish Traditional Music. I find it sad that except for some of the Irish and other traditional musicians, the Captain is almost forgotten in the Chicago area, where he worked for so long. The only recognition of his work here in Chicago that I'm aware of, is that one of our local Comhaltas (CCE) branches is called the Francis O'Neill Club.
